Privacy Policy
This policy describes what Scalr collects, why, and what you can do about it.
What Scalr is
Scalr is a WhatsApp-first coaching platform for fitness coaches. It helps coaches manage their clients, track check-ins, and communicate with clients over WhatsApp without juggling spreadsheets and separate inboxes.
What we collect
There are two categories of data on Scalr.
From you, the coach
- Account details: name, email address, business name
- WhatsApp Business Account credentials — the phone number ID and access token you connect to Scalr
- Subscription and billing metadata when you pay for a plan
About your clients, entered by you
- Client name and WhatsApp phone number
- Program details you set up — goals, plan type, renewal dates, pricing
- Check-in submissions, progress notes, and the message content exchanged between you and the client through Scalr
How we use this data
- To deliver messages between you and your clients via the WhatsApp Cloud API
- To store and surface client check-ins so you can review progress over time
- To manage your subscription, renewal reminders, and account billing
- To keep an audit trail of message events for debugging and reliability
We do not sell your data. We do not use client data to train machine learning models. We do not share data with advertisers.
Third parties we rely on
Scalr is built on top of a small set of vendors. We share data with them only as much as is required to run the product.
- Supabase — primary database and authentication. Stores coach accounts, clients, check-ins, and event logs.
- Meta (WhatsApp Cloud API) — delivery of inbound and outbound messages. Message content and client phone numbers transit Meta's infrastructure.
- Vercel — application hosting and request logging.
- Razorpay — payment processing for subscriptions, where applicable. We never see or store your full card details.
Data retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account or send us a written deletion request, we remove your coach account, your clients, and the messages and check-ins associated with them. Database backups are overwritten on a rolling basis within thirty days.
Your rights
As the coach on the account, you can
- Request a copy of the data we hold about you and your clients
- Request export of your client list and check-in history
- Request deletion of your account and all associated data
- Correct any inaccurate account information directly from your dashboard
Clients whose data is managed on Scalr by a coach should direct rights requests to that coach in the first instance; we will assist coaches in fulfilling those requests.
