Terms of Service

These terms apply to your use of Scalr. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them.

What Scalr is

Scalr is a software subscription that helps fitness coaches manage their clients and send WhatsApp check-in reminders. It is operated as an independent product, not by a registered company. In these terms, “Scalr,” “we,” and “us” refer to the service; “you” refers to the coach using the service.

Your account

You are responsible for your Scalr account, the information you enter into it, and any activity that happens under it. That includes

  • Keeping your login credentials private and reasonably secure
  • Ensuring the client information you enter is accurate and that you have a basis to process it on your clients' behalf
  • Using the service in compliance with the law and with the policies of the third parties Scalr relies on (notably Meta's WhatsApp Business policies)

Subscription and billing

Scalr is a paid subscription. Founding-coach pricing is ₹1199 per month, billed monthly in advance, with auto-debit handled by Razorpay. Authorising the subscription creates a recurring mandate on your card or UPI that charges the renewal amount at the start of each billing cycle.

We do not see or store your full card details. Payment-method changes, mandate updates, and billing receipts are handled through Razorpay.

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time from the billing page in your dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid billing period — you keep full access until then, and no further charges are made.

Acceptable use

When you use Scalr, you agree not to

  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose
  • Send messages your clients have not consented to receive, or use Scalr to spam, harass, or contact people who are not your clients
  • Use the WhatsApp integration in a way that violates Meta's WhatsApp Business Messaging Policy or could put the Scalr-managed WhatsApp number at risk of suspension
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or interfere with the service or the systems it runs on
  • Resell or sublicense Scalr access to anyone other than your own coaching business

We may suspend or terminate accounts that materially violate these conditions, with notice where reasonable and immediately where required to protect the service or our other users.

Your data and your clients' data

You own the data you put into Scalr — your account, your client list, and the check-in history they generate. Scalr stores and processes that data on your behalf so it can deliver the service. Our Privacy Policy describes what we collect, why, and how it is handled.

For data about your clients, you act as the data controller — you are the one with the coaching relationship — and Scalr acts as your data processor. You are responsible for telling your clients how their data is used and for honoring any rights requests they make to you. We will assist where we can.

Service availability

Scalr is provided on an “as-is” and “as-available” basis. We make reasonable efforts to keep the service up and working, but we do not guarantee uptime, error-free operation, or any particular response time. Some parts of the service depend on third parties — Meta's WhatsApp Cloud API, Razorpay, Supabase, and Vercel — and outages on their side may cause outages on ours.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Scalr will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or exemplary damages arising out of or related to your use of the service. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from or related to the service is capped at the amount you have paid to Scalr in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we make a material change, we'll notify you by email at the address on your account. Your continued use of Scalr after the effective date of an update means you accept the updated terms. The current version is always available at this URL.

Governing law

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these terms or your use of the service will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts located in India.
